Teira Launches as an Independent Building Performance Provider Across the Nordics

Following the completion of the separation from Schneider Electric’s Digital Energy business in Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Teira begins operations as an independent Nordic building performance provider. The company serves more than 7,500 customers, with core capabilities across Building Management Systems, Fire Safety, and Access Control.

With more than 500 employees and over 40 local offices, Teira delivers solutions and services throughout the full lifecycle of commercial, industrial, and public buildings—from design and installation to modernization and long-term service.

Teira supports a broad range of technologies and platforms, providing open, tailored solutions that best fit each customer’s needs. Empowered local teams across the Nordics ensure decisions are made close to customers.

“What makes us unique is the combination of scale, competence, and local presence,” says Thomas Träger, CEO of Teira.

“We bring together more than 100 years of combined heritage in building technology with the agility, focus, and entrepreneurial spirit of a new company. Our ambition is simple: to help customers get more value from their buildings through open technology, deep technical expertise, and trusted long-term partnerships.”

Teira plans to grow both organically through recruitment and customer development, and inorganically through acquisitions. This strategy will further strengthen its position across the Nordic region and create new opportunities for talented professionals who want to help shape the future of buildings.

A Dynamic Market with Significant Potential

Across Europe, increasing demands for energy efficiency, digitalization and decarbonization are driving investment in smarter, better-performing buildings. At the same time, 80% of buildings that will exist in 2050 have already been built, creating a significant need for modernization and performance improvements.

Building owners increasingly seek solutions that improve safety, occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and operational performance throughout the lifecycle of their assets.

“Digital technologies and artificial intelligence will create entirely new opportunities to optimize performance throughout a building’s lifecycle,” Träger notes. “Our mission is to enable buildings to perform at their best—today and tomorrow.”

While Teira now operates independently, it will continue its long-standing collaboration with Schneider Electric as one of the company’s largest EcoXpert partners in Europe, retaining access to its technology, innovation, and support.

“Technology makes it possible, we make it happen,” Träger concludes.

Teira is backed by Verso Capital, a Nordic private equity firm investing in European B2B carve-outs and buyout opportunities, with a focus on building companies with leading positions in their respective markets.
